What is Dengue Fever (DF)


Dengue cases in Philippines has risen. A patient who is suffering dengue may develop nose, gum bleeding and sometimes they are vomiting or black stools. People suffering dengue have no risk for death but there are some cases death occur if it develop the Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever or Dengue Shock Syndrome. To recover fully there should be a proper treatment and proper treatment to save lives.
Dengue mosquitoes strike during day time. To prevent and control dengue, cover all the time water pails to prevent mosquitoes from breeding. Replace water in flower vase once a week, dispose all unusable jars, bottles and other items that can hold water. Clean gutters so that the rain water will not stock and collect breeding places of mosquitoes. House cleaning by all members of the community will ensure no breeding of mosquitoes will exist.
