Poinsettia Flower

Red poinsettia flower remains an endearing symbol of Christmas. The most delightful decorations during Christmas. Every year I enjoy the beauty of poinsettia. Poinsettia originally from Mexico. Poinsettia became the traditional Christmas flower and since I was in my younger days I loved to put them in front of our door. Red colors symbolizes "love" in which poinsettia have and the petals was perfectly in shape.

I love pizza!

It's been along time that I was not able to eat pizza. One day I try to visit my long time friend if she's around, well and good because she's there at home busy preparing for the big events I am very fortunate because it was her grand daughter's birthday and pizza was one of the food they are preparing. She's a very good cook, I learned a lot from her about baking some pastries and I'm very proud of her because despite of her achievements in life she still remains what she is. She's very smart woman and very courageous. I knew her since we are in our college days. And I know how difficult to think about her life experiences. And now I can see how successful she is. She has now 12 outlets of her business in pizza. She calls me "pizza girl" before and she was surprise that until now I still adore pizza. I really love pizza!

Goddbye "Maam Velasco"

Things in life move with trusts and turn it happens suddenly and we come to realized that everything happens has a valid reasons and only God knows for that reasons. We only lived one life and that soon it will past. Maam Velasco passed away last Wednesday and at the age of 78 she was still very active in our church activities. She was our choir conductress. Every time we talk she always tell me that she ask God that if she die, she wants God to let her sleep and God granted her wish. She live her life to the fullest. She is good example and a blessing for us as a Christian believer. Serving our Lord Jesus has no retirement. Just like her, she's serving our living God until her last breath. Goodbye "Maam" you are always be remembered and the memories that you shared with us will always be treasured!

Breastfeeding

The United Nation Children Funds (UNICEF) of World Health Organization (WHO) from China is calling to the public that breastfeeding should be given full attention in order to protect children from tainted milk products. The two international health groups said that no other milk is safe and secured for children but only come from the mother especially this china milk scare now a days. Global health authorities agree that breastfeeding is unquestionably better for infant feeding from any infant formula. No infant formula contains the perfect combination of proteins, carbohydrates and fats to enhance infant growth and brain development as breast milk does. No infant formula contains antibodies to protect infants against infection as breast milk does. No infant formula is as safe to administer as breast milk is.

True friendship!

Friendship isn't based on how many secrets you share, isn't how well you get along nor how much you like each other, isn't how people see you together. But it appreciates the differences, the gaps, the hindrances, the trials, and still, a friend looks at you, straight from the heart, without hatred, without judgement, without envy, without criticisms, but only pure acceptance and respect!

How to keep someone?

Try to be perfect but don't be. Be considerate but don't tolerate. Be good but not persistent, and just love never ask.
You should never look for someone to complete you. A relationship consists of two whole individuals. Look for someone complimentary, not supplementary!
And if you really love someone, you wouldn't have the heart to hurt that person no matter what it takes. You will always find a way to make her/him happy, because that is what constitutes love among people. You are overjoyed when you see her/him happy. That is true love. Seeing happiness in her/his eyes is enough to prove what love is!

Talk it up!

We wave our arms, we inflect our tone, we reach out, we open our eyes, we lean in ... we do a lot of things to get our message across ... and then when we send a text message we abbreviate -- "OMG PAW KYFC" ... does our real message, our real intent, really get across to our online friends?

They, (whomever 'They' are) say that a picture speaks a thousand words ... hmmmm, maybe if we could combine text and pics, our messages would be more complete ... and a lot more fun.

Is that what a movie producer does, takes a text message and adds pics? How often have you read a book, then seen a movie and come out of the movie saying "that's exactly what the author meant" ... or "not exactly" ... the written word is powerful in the hands of powerful writers, but even that is left open to our interpretation.

The law of nature

The law of the seed:
Most seeds never grow. For 1 apple tree to bear 500 apples, you need 10 seeds. In life, this principle might mean you'll need to attend 20 interviews to get 1 job, and talk to 50 people to sell 1 house, meet 1000 acquaintances to have 1 special person. If we really want to make things happen, we usually need to try more than once. That's the law of nature!

Happiness

Happiness is a very subjective factor in one's life. Being happy doesn't depend on achieving what you want, but rather making the best out of what is given. Life isn't fair and it never was. The only thing that can make you't happy completely is contentment. Be contented with what we have now, but be sure that to aim high and never stop believing that we can do better everytime. Then again, if all else fails, don't forget that an ordinary you are, has an extraordinary God to back you up.

Yellow Orchid for Ninoy Aquino

Orchid breeder Rolita Spowart presented the orchid, Dendrobium Ninoy Aquino, to Atienza inside the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Nature Center as the country marked Aquino’s 25th death anniversary.
The orchid will serve as a constant reminder for all of us that a brave statesman has chosen to give his life for unity and democracy in our land. Like its petals that last longer than other cut flowers, may the bloom of the Ninoy Aquino Orchid also remind us of the hero’s undying love for his country and fellowmen,” noted Atienza, who hopes that the naming of the new species of orchid after the former senator would further perpetuate the heroism and martyrdom of Aquino.

Smokeless Tobacco and Oral Health

Smokeless tobacco products such as chew or snuff are not safe alternatives to smoking. The oral health problems that result are plentiful and include bad breath, tooth discoloration and decay, recession, disease of the gums, diminished sense of taste/smell, and white patches and red sores that can lead to oral cancer.
Smokeless tobacco contains nicotine that is very addictive. After using tobacco for a short period of time, you will need another dip every 20 to 30 minutes to keep the buzz from ending. You may become dizzy and shaky when trying to quit.
Nicotine in tobacco can cause your heart to beat faster and is also linked to hypertension.
Tobacco juices can damage your gums, expose the roots of your teeth, lead to sensitive teeth or tooth loss, or cause worn surfaces on tooth enamel. If tobacco juice is swallowed, it can produce stomach ulcers.
Pain is rarely an early symptom. For this reason all tobacco users need regular dental check-ups.

Cancer of the uterus

Cancer of the uterus begins in the lining of the uterus (endometrium) and is more precisely termed endometrial cancer (carcinoma). It is the most common gynecologic cancer and the fourth most common cancer among women. This cancer usually develops after menopause, most often in women aged 50 to 60.

Symptoms and Diagnosis

Abnormal bleeding from the vagina is the most common early symptom. Abnormal bleeding includes bleeding after menopause or between menstrual periods and periods that are irregular, heavy, or longer than normal. One of three women with vaginal bleeding after menopause has endometrial cancer. Women who have vaginal bleeding after menopause should see a doctor promptly. A watery, blood-tinged discharge may also occur. Postmenopausal women may have a vaginal discharge for several weeks or months, followed by vaginal bleeding.

A dream for you!

If i could choose a dream for you, it would be the kind of dream you deserve. A dream that someday, you'll find that special person who will make your life complete.

Food for a good night's sleep

Bananas. They’re practically a sleeping pill in a peel. In addition to a bit of soothing melatonin and serotonin, bananas contain magnesium, a muscle relaxant.

Chamomile tea. The reason chamomile is such a staple of bedtime tea blends is its mild sedating effect - it’s the perfect natural antidote for restless minds/bodies.

Warm milk. It’s not a myth. Milk has some tryptophan - an amino acid that has a sedative - like effect - and calcium, which helps the brain use tryptophan. Plus there’s the psychological throw-back to infancy, when a warm bottle meant "relax, everything’s fine."

Honey. Drizzle a little in your warm milk or herb tea. Lots of sugar is stimulating, but a little glucose tells your brain to turn off orexin, a recently discovered neurotransmitter that’s linked to alertness.

Potatoes. A small baked spud won’t overwhelm your GI tract, and it clears away acids that cansh of maple syrup is cozy - plus if you’ve got the munchies, it’s filling too.

Almonds. A handful of these heart-healthy nuts can be snooze-inducing, as they contain both tryptophan and a nice dose of muscle-relaxing magnesium.

Flaxseeds. When life goes awry and feeling down is keeping you up, try sprinkling 2 tablespoons of these healthy little seeds on your bedtime oatmeal. They’re rich in omega-3 fatty acids, a natural mood lifter.

Whole-wheat bread. A slice of toast with your tea and honey will release insulin, which helps tryptophan get to your brain, where it’s converted to serotonin and quietly murmurs "time to sleep."

Turkey. It’s the most famous source of tryptophan, credited with all those Thanksgiving naps. But that’s actually modern folklore. Tryptophan works when your stomach’s basically empty, not overstuffed, and when there are some carbs around, not tons of protein. But put a lean slice or two on some whole-wheat bread mid-evening, and you’ve got one of the best sleep inducers in your kitchen.

Our best friend!

Did you know that Jesus wants to be our Best Friend?

We praise Jesus, worship Him, and serve Him, But friendship is what Jesus wants most of all.

What makes someone a good friend?

A friend is someone who accepts you just the way you are, believes in you and encourages you. Someone who is trustworthy, who never forsakes you, who forgives your mistakes, who enjoys being with you, and who makes you laugh.

Jesus wants to be this way with us. He is not a far away God. He wants us to spend time with Him. He wants to be your very best friend, and He wants you to be His!

Are they really ghosts around us?. Can we communicate with them? Do they talk to the children? I believe that we all probably encounter ghosts everyday in our homes, at our workplaces, and as we go about our daily activities. We have different interpretation about ghosts, many believes that they really exist.
I encounter ghosts so many times, but as a Christian believer I just rebuke them and read some verses in the Bible in Psalm 23. They are not actually a people ghost, they are a fallen angels that God throw them here in the earth. Read the whole chapter of Revelation, every details is there why they called fallen angels.
They are real! they do exist and they do communicate with children, play with them, interact with them in a consistent basis.
But if you are in the side of God nothing is going to afraid of!

HammeRuler ... Redesign almost ready!

The previous conversation asked for your help with the HammeRuler commercial ... well, there's a tie, so we need you to break it.

The HammeRuler is convenient. Our research shows that when you're hammering you are more likely to next use a ruler than any other tool. But so what? Well, that's the metric we've found ... it's called Short Measure Acceleration or SMA for short ... SMA says that you can complete your job faster, and get back to the music, the sports, the cooking you enjoy!

Encouragement poem

IN THIS LIFE

In This Life,

You'll have days of bright and blue
with good friends and laughter....enough to see you through.

In This Life,

There will be misery and doubt
things you scratch your head at....and just can't figure out.

In This Life,

You'll have dreams that reach the sky
and passion to move you.... until the day you die.

In This Life,

There will be days of pain and loss
and times when your only comfort is The Man upon The Cross.

In This Life,

You'll imagine what could be
and think the world is yours for all eternity.

In This Life,

There are trials you must face
and days when the world leaves you lost without a trace.

In This Life,

We are called to help the poor
to leave the cushy comfort that rests behind our door.

In This Life,

You’ll be astounded at how quickly years go by
and look back at memories that often make you cry.

In This Life,

You'll taste both victory and defeat
and make mistakes that wisdom won't allow you to repeat.

In This Life,

You'll find answers to the questions you hold dear
and live for Him who'll take away your worries and your fear.

Makeup for teenagers

Teenagers should have natural look and just use light application of makeup only as to their skin is still young and is naturally beautiful. Soft and subtle are the two keywords that teenager should keep in mind while doing makeup. The colors that work best for them are the one that is closest to their natural skin tone or you can add just a little bit of color in your face such as shades of pink, coral, natural brown and gray.
If you have warm skin undertone, use sheer application of peach blush but if you have a cool skin undertone, use a soft pink shade. Blend it well using cotton ball. Use a natural shade of lip color or just a sheer gloss for a soft look.

Enough food for kids!

Some parents were preparing too much for their kids before going to school. Besides school supplies they are preparing foods for them. Here are some tips to give them right nutrition when preparing "baon" for them. In packed lunch, it should be three or four kinds of foods to give them right energy in the whole day. This includes rice, fried chicken, buttered or boiled vegetable and fruits. Also prepared an easy-to-pack and carry food like fried fish, chicken, or pork, pork adobo, meat omelet's, and also fruits as their side dish.
Different filing of sandwiches like tuna, cheese, egg or chicken sandwich. If possible buy a whole grain bread and low fat mayonaise or dressing. You can add vegetables such as lettuce, tomatoe, cucumber, for additional fiber. In drinks you can prepare them juice or milk than soft drinks. Soft drinks is no advisable for kids, and be sure that they have the right nutrition that they are eating everyday.

Citizenship Marketplace

This is a follow up to the "Citizenship For Sale?" conversation. In the first conversation, many folks were concerned about the morality of selling their own citizenship ... that concern is right on target and it was pleasant to see our dNeeroites question that possibility. However, Nobel Laureate Gary Becker's proposal has to do with the U.S. government selling the right to legal immigration. Can such a proposal work in the U.S. ... could it work for other countries? Can the law of supply and demand work to solve immigration problems?

The most common germs in your kitchen

No matter how often you scrub, spray, wipe ans clean your kitchen, counters, cabinets, and refrigerator, germs are always present. The presence of such germs can lead to illnesses such as colds, flu, and more severe infections and food poisoning. It is shown that kitchen sinks, dishtowels, and cutting boards, contain the most germs. Even toilet seats found to contain fewer germs than kitchen! Can you imagine that!
The best way to turn your kitchen into germ-free zone is by avoiding contamination in the first place, because dishrags, towels, and sponges can trap germs and allow them to breed, clean them by using detergent soap and hot water.
Instead of wiping your hands on a cloth towel,m use paper towels that can send germs straight away to the trash. Using paper towels for cleaning kitchen surfaces is also. ideal. Cutting boards are one of the parts of a kitchen that contain the most germs. To avoid contamination, if you're cooking different types of meats and vegetables, it is best to use cutting board just for meat and another just for vegetables.
Pouring bleach down the kittchen sinks helps eliminates germs. Use also disinfectant spray in addition to warm water and soap.

dNeero's Money is Hot ... or Not

This is a follow up to the "dNeero pays, and ..." conversation. In the first convo we discovered that several of you are affected by money being involved in these conversations. What we now would like to learn is what that effect is. Frankly, if it's anything that results in truthful responses, we're OK with it ... well, we think we're OK with it ... let's see. ------- If you have previously joined this conversation, please do so again -- we had a technical glitch ... sorry about that.

It's Tuesday!

How Great And Wonderful You Are!

Thank you, LORD, for another day.

Thank you for the sun and the deep blue sky.
Thank you for the cool Autumn air.
Thank you for eggs and bacon,
and toast with cinnamon.

Help me to remember
that all good things come from you,
And help me always to be thankful.

Dear Lord,
Help me to be good today.
Forgive me for the times I did what I wanted to do,
instead of what you wanted me to do.

Today is a new day,
and I can start brand new
because you have forgiven me.

Help me to be a blessing today.
Use me to bring happiness to those you love.

Dear Lord, your love
is better than anything else in the world.
And you love me.
Help me always to remember that.

Thank you, LORD!
